Delete your account

You can delete your DigiSapiens account yourself, at any time, from the phone app or the desktop app. It takes a minute and does not need us.

Your account is deleted 30 days after you ask. Every device is signed out right away. If you sign in again before the date the app shows you, the deletion is cancelled and everything is as you left it. After that date, it can't be undone.

In the phone app

1. Open Settings and go to Account.
2. Tap Delete account. The next screen lists what will be deleted, which of your companies will close, and the date your account will be deleted.
3. Confirm with your password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, sign in with them once more instead.
4. Tap Delete my account. The app shows the date again and signs you out on every device.

In the desktop app

1. Open Settings, then Profile, and scroll to Account.
2. Choose Delete account and read the summary of what will be deleted and when.
3. Confirm with your password, or sign in with Google or Apple once more.
4. Choose Delete my account. The app shows the date, signs you out on every device and returns to the sign-in screen.

Changed your mind?

Sign in again, with your password, Google or Apple, before the date the app showed you. The deletion is cancelled on the spot, the app says "Welcome back. Your account deletion was cancelled.", and your account, companies and subscription carry on as before. If you forgot your password, reset it from the sign-in screen first.

Without the app

Write to digisapiens@etrexio.com from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours, and we delete it within 30 days. If you want it gone sooner than the 30 days of an in-app request, say so in the same email.

What is deleted after the 30 days

• Your account: your email address, your password, your Google or Apple sign-in, and the key that signs your messages. Every device you are signed in on is signed out as soon as you ask.
• Sign in with Apple: if you used it, we ask Apple to revoke DigiSapiens' access to your Apple ID.
• Invite codes you created that nobody used, and your place on the waitlist.
• Companies you own alone: they close with your account. Their subscription stops renewing as soon as you ask, so you are not charged again. When your account is deleted nobody can open them any more, the subscription is canceled, and their messages, files and projects are deleted within 30 days after that.

What stays

• Companies you belong to: you leave them. Your name there becomes "Deleted account". The messages you posted stay with the company, because they are part of its workspace, as in any team chat.
• Companies where other people work with you: if you own one, move it to one of them first. Write to digisapiens@etrexio.com and tell us who should own it; then delete your account. If someone joins a company you own during the 30 days, your account is not deleted until that company has a new owner, and we will get in touch about it.
• Invoices: billing records we are required to keep by law stay with our payment provider for the period the law sets.

During the 30 days your account and companies are kept exactly as they are, so they can come back if you sign in. To the people you work with you look like any member who is not around. Copies of deleted data may remain in routine backups for a short period before they are overwritten. Once the 30 days are over, deleting an account cannot be undone.
